Dear friends,
Many missionaries who are transplants from other countries face immense difficulties in building connections and establishing credibility within the communities they serve. It often takes years for them to gain the trust necessary to share the gospel effectively. This results in a recurring challenge to cross-cultural mission work: burnout. At Phokos, we've found a solution that’s not only healthier but also more effective and cost efficient for spreading the message of Jesus.
We’re committed to raising up young local missionaries who have deep ties to the communities they serve. These indigenous missionaries come from the very areas they are ministering to, which means they already have the trust and momentum needed to make a significant impact. They are not only sharing the gospel but also strengthening the faith of their communities in profound ways.
In Kenya, Pakistan, and India, this approach is transforming lives. Evangelist Sarfraz, our Phokos Pakistan Overseer, recently shared some amazing stats from August:
- 25 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- 50 individuals received answers prayers and testified to God's goodness
- 30 families benefited from our food drive and distribution event
- 200 people attended our outreach events, hearing of God's love and grace
The growth we’re seeing in these regions is a testament to the power of this model. New attendees are filling churches, and our ministry’s presence is expanding throughout the cities we serve. This success story wouldn’t be possible without your support.
When you give to Phokos, you’re accelerating the spread of the gospel across multiple countries. Your donation—whether $10, $20, or $50—helps ensure that our indigenous missionaries have the resources they need to continue their vital work. Your generosity is making a tangible difference in Kenya, Pakistan, and India. Giving online is easy, and every amount is a blessing to the ministry. You can make a donation today by clicking here.
Additionally, we ask for your continued prayers for our team, especially for Evangelist Sarfraz, this month. A simple note or reminder placed near your computer, Bible, or bathroom mirror can be a powerful way to keep our missionaries in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for being a vital part of this mission. Together, we are bringing the gospel to the world in meaningful and lasting ways. Blessings to you in Jesus’ name!
